About This Strap - 48672-13
Twelve feet is the short strap in the Series E set, and short is the right answer more often than people expect.
Length is not a bigger-is-better spec. A strap that is too long leaves several feet of tail flapping past the ratchet on every use, and that tail is what gets caught in a wheel, dragged on the road, or shut in a door. On a half-pallet, a single appliance, or a load strapped to a cart rather than a trailer, twelve feet reaches over and back with just enough left to thread the buckle. The webbing is 6000 lb polyester rated to a 1,333 lb working load limit, running through a low profile ratchet buckle onto a 48 inch fixed end with a 47608-21 spring end fitting.
Ratchet tension is what separates this from rope. Rope slacks as a vehicle flexes and lets the load creep; a ratcheted strap holds the tension you set.
Use it for
