About This Caster - 410VG08501S

Put this 8-inch 410 Series swivel on the steering corners of a transfer cart that follows a fixed track and has to turn onto and off the rail at the ends.

The cast iron wheel carries a V-shaped groove in the tread that rides an inverted-V angle-iron rail, guiding the cart along the line, and as the swivel version it lets the cart steer onto and off the track where the rail begins or ends. The cast iron takes heat to 350°F for hot transfer lines, and Albion's 410 Contender Kingpinless swivel rides a heat-treated raceway with no kingpin to shear under the load. It bolts to a large 7-1/4 by 5-1/4 inch top plate.
