Choose this 4-inch cast iron swivel for a hot, heavy cart that has to park near an oven or furnace and hold, where a kingpin shears under a forklift bump and a poly tread smears off the wheel in the heat.

This is Albion's 110 Contender Kingpinless construction: the swivel deletes the threaded kingpin and rides a heat-treated raceway, so side load from a bump or a shifting load cannot shear or seize it the way it kills a kingpin caster. The grey cast iron wheel carries a hard, heavy load and holds from -100 to 800°F where rubber and polyurethane fail, and the face brake presses on the wheel to stop it rolling once the cart is set. The roller bearing takes the weight through the turn.
