The grey rubber tread is non-marking and cushioned, rolling quietly and protecting the floor, which suits a hospital or lab cart where noise and floor protection matter. At 5 inches the swivel rolls over seams while staying maneuverable, the kingpinless swivel section, welded to the legs inside and out, takes shock without a kingpin to loosen, and the stainless frame resists washdown corrosion. It steers on a stainless steel roller bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -45 to 180°F.
