Set this 6-inch Empire 170 soft-tread swivel with an FBB face brake on a cart corner that needs a cushioned ride over rough floors, then parks and holds.

A face brake presses a shoe against the wheel to stop it, holding a loaded cart on its spot. The 80A version uses a softer 80 Shore A polyurethane tread that absorbs shock and runs quieter than the firm green PM, gentler on delicate loads, while carrying up to 1,250 pounds at this size. At 6 inches the larger wheel rolls over seams, the butterscotch round polyurethane is non-marking, and the PM build is kingpinless with no central kingpin to loosen. It steers on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
