About This Caster - 62NX04228R
Set this 4-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of an industrial cart that takes hard hits, the high-impact polymer caster whose wheel absorbs the shock and tracks straight where a brittle wheel cracks under the load.
A brittle wheel splits when a loaded cart drops off a dock plate; the 62 Series high-impact polymer wheel flexes to take the hit without cracking and resists chemicals to 220°F, and the rigid fork holds the cart straight behind front swivels. The precision ball bearing carries the medium-heavy load cool, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty, zinc-plated.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of industrial carts that take impacts
- Chemical and wash areas to 220°F that shatter a hard wheel
- Straight tracking under a medium-heavy impact load
Skip the polymer wheel if the floor runs near 800°F or the cart needs the highest load; a cast iron 62CA04201R carries the highest weight and heat where polymer gives.
