About This Wheel - VPA 101/12G
Order this 100mm wheel when a wide-tread rubber wheel has to ride on a 12mm axle rather than the more common 8mm.
The bore is the reason to choose it: at 12mm it fits a heavier spindle than the 8mm versions, so match it to the axle before ordering. The 32mm tread is the wide face, spreading the load across more contact and tracking straight, and the solid rubber tyre at 80 Shore A on a nylon 6 centre stays quiet and protects the floor from -4 to 140°F. It is the plain-bore version for a cart that is staged more than it is run. Blickle keeps the grey tyre non-marking.
Ideal applications
- Wide-tread 100mm wheels on a 12mm axle, finished floor
- Loads that track straight on a broad rubber face
- Staged carts where a plain bore bearing is enough
For frequent use on an 8mm axle, the ball-bearing VPA 101/8K rolls lighter.
Pairs with: a 12mm axle and a swivel or rigid fork for a 100mm wheel.
