About This Wheel - VPA 80/8K-EL
Pick this 80mm wheel for a small static-sensitive cart that has to bleed its charge to the floor in a compact diameter.
Like the larger conductive wheel, it runs a low-resistance path through the tyre and centre so static on the cart discharges to ground instead of arcing as a spark, which is what an electronics bench or a cleanroom trolley needs. The difference is size: at 80mm it keeps a small frame low where a 125mm wheel would not fit. The solid rubber tyre at 80 Shore A sits on a polypropylene centre and is black to mark it conductive, quiet and non-marking from -4 to 140°F, on a ball bearing and an 8mm axle. Blickle builds the path into the wheel itself.
Ideal applications
- Compact electronics-bench carts on a grounded floor
- Cleanroom trolleys needing ESD protection in 80mm
- Small static-sensitive frames where 125mm will not fit
If there is no static concern, the standard grey VPA 80/8K rolls the same at lower cost.
Pairs with: an 8mm axle and a conductive swivel or rigid fork to complete the ground path.
