Use this 4-inch Defender D4 swivel on the front of a heavy chemical-area cart that has to steer as well as carry weight.

The swivel head guides the cart around equipment and into tight aisles, with a 3.375-inch swivel radius to plan for at the corners, while the Maxim glass-filled nylon wheel brings high capacity to the front of the cart: the glass-fiber reinforcement lets it take heavy loads while resisting chemicals and moisture without swelling. The pedestal precision ball bearing keeps both wheel and swivel turning smoothly during frequent trips, and the stainless steel frame suits corrosive, sprayed-down bays. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can scratch a soft floor, so this is the steering caster for heavy loads on hard surfaces, not for a soft ride. It serves from -20 to 180°F.
