Use this 5-inch Defender D4 swivel when a loaded sterilization or retort cart steers through steam and high heat at a slow pace.
The swivel head steers the front of the cart, with a 4.125-inch swivel radius to allow, while the roller bearing gives that swivel the highest capacity of the three bearings at a slow, controlled pace. The blue hi-temp retort polypropylene wheel rides through autoclave and food-processing retort cycles where heat and steam would soften an elastomer, holding to 250°F and resisting sterile-processing chemicals, on a stainless steel frame for wash-down service. At 5 inches it eases over thresholds better than a smaller wheel. The wheel is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor. It serves from -45 to 250°F.
