About This Wheel - 41XE42-03
Choose this 4-inch glass-filled nylon wheel for a low casting-cell cart that carries rough, heavy parts and takes the knocks of a foundry floor, the wheel that keeps a low deck and still survives the abuse.
A casting cell loads a cart with heavy, gritty parts and bumps it against fixtures and racks all shift, which chips a brittle wheel and cuts a soft tread on the sand and scale. Colson's Maxim glass-filled nylon takes that impact and abrasion without breaking, on a 4-inch wheel that keeps the deck low for loading. The wide 2-inch tread holds the high load and the roller bearing carries it through slow moves. The ride is firm.
Ideal applications
- Low casting-cell cart carrying rough heavy parts, foundry floor
- Loaded fixture cart bumped against racks and stands
- Gritty floor where sand and scale cut a soft tread
Skip the roller bearing where the cart gets hosed; the 4-inch delrin glass-filled nylon 41XH42-03 rolls maintenance-free without a bearing to rust.
Pairs with: a matching 4-inch by 2-inch caster fork to build a swivel or rigid caster, from the Caster Hardware collection.
Wrong fit? Wash-down, or a taller wheel? See the 4-inch delrin 41XH42-03 and the 5-inch roller glass-filled nylon 41XE52-03.
Also in this family: the 3-1/4-inch roller 41XE31-03 and 5-inch roller 41XE52-03, or the glass-filled nylon wheel collection.
