This A-Line POD from Pemco is a polyolefin tread on a polypropylene core, a hard black wheel that shrugs off water and detergent without swelling or rusting, so it suits lab carts a metal-core wheel would corrode under. A side-mounted foot brake locks the wheel with a tap so the cart holds at the bench while the swivel still turns, the short 1/2-13 by 1 inch threaded stem seats in a shallow boss, and the taller 3.5-inch wheel clears wet thresholds. The Delrin plain bearing runs maintenance-free, and the tread holds to 180°F.
