Choose this 5-inch phenolic wheel for a loaded shop cart that has to clear thresholds and roll across an oily or warm floor, the workhorse size for heavy duty where elastomer treads give out.
The 5-inch diameter rolls over floor breaks and debris a smaller wheel stalls on, while the hard molded phenolic carries a high load without deforming and resists the oil, grease, and heat of a machine shop or foundry aisle. The roller bearing carries the load under it. Like all hard wheels it transmits shock and rolls loud, so it earns its place where toughness beats comfort.
