Choose this 3-inch phenolic wheel for a small cart that has to carry a heavy load in an oily or warm shop, where an elastomer tread would swell, soften, or squash flat under the weight.
Phenolic is a hard molded resin, so a wheel this small carries a high load for its size without deforming, and it shrugs off the oil, grease, and heat that degrade rubber and polyurethane. The roller bearing handles the load under it. The trade is that a hard wheel transmits floor shock and rolls louder, so it belongs in the shop, not a quiet corridor.

- Drum and die carts near heat, hard concrete
- Compact high-load rigs where elastomer treads fail, single to multi-shift
