Choose this 3-inch Shepherd Institutional top-plate swivel for furniture or electronics that has to steer quietly and leave no marks.
The Institutional line is the flexible 1-1/4-inch-wide range for furniture, electronics, food-service carts, and store fixtures. The grey rubber wheel on a polyolefin core cushions bumps, runs quietly, and leaves no marks, protecting delicate equipment and finished floors, while a precision ball bearing makes the swivel steer and roll with little effort. It mounts on a 2-5/8-inch by 3-3/4-inch plate and turns with a 2.875-inch radius. It carries less than a hard wheel, so it earns its place where a quiet, gentle ride leads. It serves from -40°F to 180°F.
