About This Caster Socket - RT1150SQ
Use this socket to turn a square tube leg into a tool-free mount for a 7/16-inch grip-ring stem caster, in the tube size this RT1150 fits.
A caster socket seats in the open end of a hollow tube leg and gives it a round bore that holds a caster stem, so a square-tube cart, rack, or display fixture takes a standard caster with no welded plate or tapped hole. This RT1150 version is sized for a different square-tube inside dimension than the RT1120, so match it to your tube before ordering. It accepts the same 7/16-inch grip-ring stem, the sprung-ring stem that pushes in by hand and holds without a nut, so casters swap in and out for service.
Ideal applications
- Square tube legs sized to the RT1150 inside dimension
- Display fixtures and racks taking a 7/16-inch grip-ring caster
- Tube frames needing a caster mount without welding or tapping
For a confirmed 1-1/2-inch ID square tube, the RT1120SQ is the matching socket with the same 7/16 grip-ring stem.
Pairs with: four 7/16-inch grip-ring stem casters and a square-tube frame matched to this socket's inside dimension.
Wrong fit? Running 1-1/2-inch ID tube? See the RT1120SQ for that size.
Also in this family: the grip-ring stem casters and sockets in the Shepherd collection.
