About This Caster - 110CA08201R
Bolt this 8-inch cast iron rigid to the back corners of a heavy Contender cart that works a hot or debris-strewn floor, so the rear tracks straight under the load while the front kingpinless swivels steer.
The 8-inch grey cast iron wheel carries a high load, sheds the chips and grit that tear up a polymer tread, and holds its rating to 800°F where rubber and polyurethane fail. The 110 Contender legs are welded inside and outside the bracket so a side impact does not bend the rigid out of track, and the roller bearing carries the weight. It is the heavy-heat back-corner partner for a Contender foundry or heat-line cart.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of heavy carts on hot or debris-strewn floor, to 800°F
- Foundry and heat-treat rigs that must track straight, hard floor
- Loaded transport on chip-strewn shop floor, multi-shift
Skip cast iron if the floor is finished and cannot take a marking wheel; an AX polyurethane 110 or NX nylon wheel rolls non-marking where 800°F heat is not the problem.
