Set this 6-inch Empire 170 rigid on a fixed corner of an economical cart that crosses rough floors on a long run.

The AX build is the value version of the Empire 170, bringing kingpinless durability with no central kingpin to loosen under shock, and at 6 inches it carries up to 1,000 pounds and rolls over seams with the least effort on a haul. The maroon round-profile polyurethane tread is non-marking and easy-rolling on a lightweight aluminum core. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
