Set this 6-inch Empire 170 cast iron swivel with an FBC face brake on a heavier foundry or oven cart corner that has to steer in tight space, then park and hold.

A face brake presses a shoe against the wheel to stop it, holding a heavy loaded cart on its spot. The FBC brake is the alternate face-brake style with a tighter swivel radius, for a cart that maneuvers in close quarters. The cast iron wheel holds from -100 to 800°F where rubber and poly cannot go, with the trade that it is hard, noisy, and damages a soft floor. At 6 inches it rolls over seams while steering. It is built kingpinless with no central kingpin to fail, runs on a roller bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -100 to 800°F.
