Set this 8-inch Empire 170 cast iron swivel with an FBB face brake on the heaviest foundry or oven cart corner that maneuvers, then parks and holds.

A face brake presses a shoe against the wheel to stop it, holding the heaviest loaded cart on its spot. At 8 inches the large wheel clears the biggest obstacles while steering, and the cast iron wheel holds from -100 to 800°F where rubber and poly cannot go, with the trade that it is hard, noisy, and damages a soft floor. The kingpinless design carries shock without a central kingpin to fail. It runs on a roller bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -100 to 800°F.
