About This Caster - 170SE08201S01FBC
Reach for this 8-inch Empire 170 swivel with an FBC face brake and roller bearing when the heaviest cart turns in tight aisles, then parks and holds.
The FBC brake is the close-radius face-brake style, sized to stop the wheel where space is short and the heaviest cart maneuvers in close quarters. The wheel is solid elastomer, a tough rubber-like compound that absorbs shock and runs quietly without going flat, grey and non-marking on finished floors. The roller bearing is built for heavier sustained pushing and shrugs off shock, and at 8 inches the caster carries up to 1,200 pounds and takes -40 to 230°F. The swivel turns on a kingpinless welded raceway with no central pin to loosen, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 9-1/2-inch mount height, and is zinc plated.
