About This Caster - 18AX05228R
Set this 5-inch ergonomic polyurethane rigid on a fixed corner of a cart that clears thresholds while operators move it all shift.
The 18 series cuts operator strain, and at 5 inches the larger wheel rolls over thresholds and seams with even less effort than a 4-inch wheel. The non-marking maroon polyurethane tread on a lightweight aluminum hub rolls quietly with low resistance, so a loaded cart starts and moves with little push and pull. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, and the zinc-plated frame resists corrosion. It runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 6-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
