About This Caster - 18AX06228R
Set this 6-inch ergonomic polyurethane rigid on a fixed corner of a heavier cart that operators move over rougher floors all shift.
At 6 inches the larger wheel rolls over seams and floor obstacles with the least push effort, which is the point of the 18 series: less strain on the operator over a long shift. The non-marking maroon polyurethane tread on a lightweight aluminum hub rolls quietly with low resistance, so even a heavier loaded cart starts and moves easily. As a rigid caster it tracks straight on the fixed corners, and the zinc-plated frame resists corrosion. It runs on a precision ball bearing, bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate at a 7-1/2-inch mount height, and holds from -40 to 180°F.
