Choose this 5-inch cast iron swivel for a heavy cart that has to clear thresholds and rough floor on a hot or chip-strewn shop floor, the duty where the 4-inch wheel hangs up on transitions but a polymer tread still cannot take the heat.

The 5-inch diameter rolls over floor breaks and debris a 4-inch wheel stalls against, and the grey cast iron wheel sheds chips and holds to 800°F where rubber and polyurethane soften. The roller bearing carries the heavy load under the swivel. It is the mid-size heavy-heat caster of the 62 Series.
