About This Caster - 62CA08201R
Set this 8-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of a billet or forge cart, the cast iron caster whose tall wheel rolls the heaviest load through heat to 800°F over the worst hot-shop floor.
Rubber gives by 180°F and phenolic chars past 250°F; the 62 Series cast iron wheel carries the highest industrial load and rolls through radiant heat to 800°F, and the 8-inch diameter rolls over expansion joints, scale, and broken concrete that stop a smaller wheel. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, the rigid fork holds the line, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.

- Tallest wheel over scale and broken hot-shop floor
- Highest industrial load on the tallest cast-iron rear
Skip the cast iron wheel if the floor is finished or noise matters; it marks the floor and runs loud, so a polyurethane 62AX08228R rolls non-marking.
