About This Caster - 62CA08201S
Choose this 8-inch 62 Series swivel for the front of a heavy cart at a kiln or unload station, the cast iron caster whose tall wheel steers the heaviest load through heat to 800°F over the worst floor.
Rubber gives by 180°F and phenolic chars past 250°F; the 62 Series cast iron wheel steers the highest industrial load through radiant heat to 800°F, and the 8-inch diameter rolls over scale and broken concrete as a hot cart is spotted at a kiln. The roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.

Skip the cast iron wheel if the floor is finished or noise matters; it marks the floor and runs loud, so a polyurethane 62AX08228S rolls non-marking and pivots easy.
