About This Caster - 62FR08201R
Set this 8-inch 62 Series rigid on the back corners of the biggest hot impact cart, the ductile iron round-tread caster whose forged wheel takes the worst hits while the tall diameter rolls over scale and broken concrete.
Grey cast iron cracks when a loaded forge cart slams a dock plate; the 62 Series ductile iron wheel is forged to take the shock without cracking and rolls through heat to 800°F, and the 8-inch diameter rolls over scale, slag, and broken concrete that stop a smaller wheel. The round crowned tread cuts rolling resistance, the roller bearing carries the dead weight at a walk, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 top plate bolts to a flat deck. Industrial-duty.
