Set this 5-inch 62 Series rigid under a cart that has to roll easy by hand across a finished floor, the polyurethane-on-aluminum caster whose precision ball bearing cuts the push effort and whose green tread leaves no mark.

This is the precision-ball version of the poly-on-aluminum wheel: the same quiet, non-marking green tread on a die-cast aluminum core, but the precision ball bearing starts and rolls under load with far less push than a roller bearing. The aluminum core holds the wheel round under a standing load, the 5-inch rigid tracks straight, and the 6-1/4 by 4-1/2 plate bolts to a flat deck. The tread is good to 180°F.

• Aluminum core holding round under a standing load

Skip the poly wheel where the floor runs hotter than 180°F; a phenolic 62TM05201R takes 250°F and rolls just as easy on a hard tread.
