About This Caster - B-GST 200K-TML
Build this 200mm rigid into a heavy towed train that has to cushion a delicate load and hold on a grade with the brake lever on the left.
At 200mm it is the largest wheel here and rolls over the biggest seams and dock plates with the least effort. The tread is Blickle Softhane, a soft polyurethane on a cast iron centre that cushions the load like rubber but carries more, holding from -4 to 158°F, and the green tread marks it as the Softhane compound. The dead-man drum brake holds the cart with the lever on the left to match the operator's reach, the rigid frame tracks straight under a tow, and it mounts on a 140 by 110mm plate.
Ideal applications
- Heaviest towed trains cushioning a delicate load on big wheels
- Left-lever holding brake on a 200mm rigid corner
- Soft green Softhane carrying more than a rubber tread
