Choose this 2.5-inch Performa rubber swivel with the ball bearing on the 4-1/8 by 3-1/8 inch top plate for a busy frame drilled to that oversized pattern, the quiet caster whose plate matches a footprint between the standard and the largest options.
The 4-1/8 by 3-1/8 inch plate is one of the oversized 2 Series footprints, for frames laid out on that specific hole pattern, and it spreads the caster load over more deck than the standard plate. The ball bearing keeps the cart rolling through traffic, and the soft Grey Performa rubber tread runs near-silent and protects finished floors. At 2.5 inches it keeps a low deck. It is the quiet high-traffic caster for a 4-1/8 by 3-1/8 pattern frame.
