The 4-1/8 by 3-1/8 inch plate covers more frame than the standard plate, so it spreads a heavier load over more steel, the ball bearing carries that load and rolls it with less push than a Delrin bore, and the 4-inch Performa rubber tread cushions the load and clears thresholds.
