About This Caster - 2.05254.445 MTG14
Choose this 5-inch Performa rubber swivel with the ball bearing and 5/8-18 fine-thread stem for vibrating equipment on a fine-tapped five-eighths boss, the UNF fine pitch that resists working loose and the ball bearing that rolls the load easy.
The 5/8-18 UNF thread has more threads per inch than the coarse 5/8-11, so it grips a fine-tapped boss with extra contact and is slow to back out under a running machine, the ball bearing carries a heavier load and rolls it with less push than a Delrin bore, and the tall 5-inch Performa rubber tread cushions the load and clears the biggest thresholds. Confirm your boss is 5/8-18 UNF, not a coarse 5/8-11, before you order. It is the fine-thread tall-wheel rubber swivel for vibration-prone five-eighths-boss equipment.
