About This Caster - D4.04108.921 SS
Choose this 4-inch Defender D4 rigid when a wash-down cart needs to protect the floor and still carry more than a rubber wheel can.
The wheel is Colson HI-TECH polyurethane on a polyolefin core, a non-marking tread that takes more load than soft rubber, resists abrasion, and will not flat-spot when the cart sits parked, all while staying easy on a finished floor. Compared with a hard plastic wheel it gives a little under load and rolls with less effort, yet it carries real weight. The stainless steel frame handles corrosive, sprayed-down areas, and the Delrin plain bearing keeps the whole thing maintenance-free, with no grease to wash out and nothing to corrode. It runs from -45 to 180°F. Rigid means it tracks straight at the back of the cart.
