About This Caster - D4.05108.455 COND SS
Choose this 5-inch Defender D4 rigid when a cart must bleed off static electricity in an ESD-sensitive or flammable area.
The conductive flat-tread Performa wheel carries static charge from the cart through the caster to ground rather than letting it build up, protecting electronics and reducing spark risk around solvents or dust. The flat profile gives a stable footprint and the soft rubber rolls quietly and stays easy on floors, though the conductive compound can mark a light surface. At 5 inches it clears thresholds more easily than a smaller wheel, on a stainless steel frame for corrosive bays, and the pedestal precision ball bearing keeps it rolling smoothly. Rigid means it tracks straight at the rear. It serves from -45 to 180°F.
