About This Caster - D4.05109.831 HTBLK SS
Choose this 5-inch Defender D4 swivel when a warm chemical-area cart steers on a heat-grade nylon wheel with no bearing upkeep.
The swivel head guides the cart through tight spaces, with a 4.125-inch swivel radius to allow, and the hi-temp glass-filled nylon wheel is a glass-fiber-reinforced tread built for strength and heat resistance, standing up to chemicals and moisture without absorbing water. The Delrin plain bearing runs grease-free and corrosion-proof, on a stainless steel frame for corrosion. At 5 inches it eases over thresholds better than a smaller wheel. Glass-filled nylon is hard with no cushioning and can mark a soft floor. It serves across the listed range from -20 to 180°F.
