The 8-inch diameter rides over the floor cracks, sills, and debris that stop a smaller wheel, and the glass-filled nylon takes the drop shock and solvent contact that crack or rot lesser treads. The Delrin bearing cannot rust, so a wheel that gets hosed in a process bay keeps rolling. The ride is firm, with no cushion.
