Set this 4-inch Chrome Hospital caster on the rear of a long bed or stretcher that wanders when you push it down a corridor.

The directional lock is not a brake: it snaps the swivel straight and holds it there so the caster tracks in a straight line while the wheel keeps rolling, which stops a long bed or transport cart from crabbing sideways down a hallway. Flip it off and the caster swivels again for tight turns at the room. The soft rubber tread on a polyolefin core rolls quiet and cushions vibration, staying non-marking grey, and the chrome finish wipes clean on a four-bolt top plate, holding from -30 to 180°F.
