About This Caster - SS-05TPX-125-DL-TP01
Choose this 5-inch Medcaster Stainless Hospital swivel with a directional lock when a tall bed or cart has to roll over thresholds and still hold a straight line down the hall.
The directional lock fixes the swivel so the caster tracks straight, keeping a long unit running true down a corridor while the wheel keeps rolling, and it releases to steer freely again. The larger 5-inch wheel rolls over elevator gaps and door thresholds the 4-inch would catch on, pushing easier on long runs. The polished stainless steel frame and bearing resist disinfectants and moisture, the grey non-marking rubber wheel stays quiet and streak-free, and the 6-7/16-inch mount height suits taller equipment. Its 4.8594-inch swivel radius reflects the directional-lock head. It serves from -30°F to 180°F.
