About This Caster - ER5X2PODB

Set this 5-inch polypropylene rigid on a mid-deck cart that is moved by hand often and wants an easy roll with chemical resistance.

The precision ball bearing keeps the push light shift after shift, where the roller version would drag more, and the USA-made polypropylene wheel ignores wash-down water and cleaners that attack rubber. At 5 inches it clears a threshold while sitting lower than the 6-inch. Being rigid it tracks straight behind the steering corners and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, holding from -45 to 180°F. The hard wheel rides firm with no cushion, the trade the polypropylene makes for shrugging off the wet that would rot a rubber tread.
