About This Caster - ER5X2POD
Set this 5-inch polypropylene rigid on the back corners of a mid-deck cart in a wash-down or chemical bay where rubber would not last.
The USA-made polypropylene wheel is hard and tough, shrugging off water, cleaners, and mild acids that would attack a rubber tread, and at 5 inches it clears a threshold while keeping a lower deck than the 6-inch. The hard wheel rides firm with no cushion, the trade for its chemical resistance. Being rigid it tracks straight behind the steering corners, runs on an economical roller bearing, and bolts on a 4 by 4-1/2-inch top plate, holding from -45 to 180°F.
Ideal applications
- Back corners of 5-inch carts in wash-down or chemical bays
- Hard USA-made polypropylene resisting water and cleaners
- Roller-bearing rigid tracking straight at a mid deck height
For an easier push, the precision-ball ER5X2PODB swaps the roller bearing for a ball bearing.
Pairs with: matching E-Line swivel casters on the steering corners so the cart steers up front and tracks at the rear.
