About This Caster - ER5X2TPD
Set this 5-inch rigid on the back corners of a quiet-area cart that crosses seams on a finished floor, where a taller soft wheel rolls easier over bumps and still runs silent and non-marking.
The wheel is Pemco's Thermo-Rubber donut tread on a polypropylene core: a soft grey thermoplastic rubber that rolls quiet, leaves no marks, and cushions floor seams and bumps the load would otherwise feel. At 5 inches the wheel rolls easier over seams than a 4-inch, the rigid fork holds the cart on a straight line, and the roller bearing carries the weight on a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. The tread holds to 180°F.
