About This Caster - ER8X2MOPTBK

Set this 8-inch braked rigid on the back corners of a heavy cart that crosses dock plates and broken floor and then has to hold, where the tall wheel bridges the gaps and the brake locks the corner.

The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core from Pemco: the iron carries the heavy load without plastic-core flex, and the red poly tread keeps the roll non-marking. The 8-inch diameter clears dock plates and debris that stop a shorter wheel, the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the loaded cart still, the rigid fork holds the line, and the roller bearing carries the weight on a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate. The tread holds to 180°F.
