About This Caster - ER6X2MOPTBK

Set this 6-inch braked rigid on the back corners of a heavy cart that crosses rough floor and then has to hold under weight, where a taller wheel clears debris and the brake keeps the corner still.

The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core: the iron carries the heavy load without plastic-core flex, and the red poly tread keeps the roll non-marking. The tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the loaded cart still, the 6-inch wheel rolls over seams and debris, the rigid fork holds the line, and the roller bearing carries the weight. Pemco bolts it through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate, and the tread holds to 180°F.
