About This Caster - ES6X2MOP
Set this 6-inch swivel on the front corners of a heavy cart that crosses rough floor and has to steer, where a taller wheel rolls over debris and the tread leaves no marks.
The wheel molds a polyurethane tread onto a cast iron core: the iron carries the heavy load without plastic-core flex, and the red poly tread keeps the roll non-marking. At 6 inches the wheel rolls over seams and small debris a shorter wheel hangs on, the swivel turns on a roller bearing so a loaded cart steers with one hand, and the Pemco 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate bolts to a flat deck. The tread holds to 180°F.
Ideal applications
- Front corners of heavy carts steered over rough floor
- 6-inch poly-on-iron wheel rolling over seams and debris
- One-hand swivel under a non-marking red tread
If the floor runs hotter than 180°F or oil is present, the poly tread is wrong; a cast iron E-line wheel handles it. See the Pemco collection.
