About This Caster - ER8X2PHNTBK

Set this 8-inch phenolic rigid on the back corners of a heavy dock cart that crosses broken floor and then has to hold under weight, where a roller bearing carries the load and the brake locks the corner.

The wheel is hard resin-bonded phenolic from Pemco: it carries a heavy load on a small footprint, rolls with low resistance, and shrugs off oil, grease, and solvent from -45°F to 250°F. The roller bearing carries the weight, the 8-inch wheel bridges dock plates and broken floor, and the tread-lock brake presses on the wheel to hold the cart still. The rigid fork keeps it tracking straight, and the brown phenolic wheel bolts on through a 4 by 4-1/2 inch top plate.
