Pick this 4-inch phenolic wheel when a cart needs a hard, oil-resistant tread but the load is light enough that a full 2-inch face is more wheel than the job calls for.

The narrower 1-1/2-inch tread puts less rubber on the floor, so it rolls with a touch less effort and costs less than the wide-face version while keeping the phenolic toughness: load capacity for its size, resistance to shop oils, and steady service to 180°F. The roller bearing still handles a heavy walking pace. On a light cart this is the economical phenolic, not the high-capacity one.
