Choose this 6-inch wide polyolefin wheel for a platform truck that crosses dock plates and floor seams with a load, where the taller wheel rolls over the gaps and the polyolefin keeps cost down.

A platform truck working a dock catches every seam, dock-plate lip, and expansion joint, and a short wheel stalls at each one while a metal-cored wheel rusts in the wet. The 6-inch diameter bridges those gaps so the truck rolls over them with a steady push, and the wide 2-inch tread on a roller bearing carries the loaded deck. Molded polyolefin neither rusts nor soaks up the water and chemicals that a dock floor collects, so the wheel keeps its shape and its roll. The ride is firm, at a lower price than polyurethane.
