Choose the TE1-1C when a 1-1/2 inch round tube leg needs a stronger 5/8-11 foot, a brass insert that presses into the 16ga tube and hands you a coarse, load-holding thread without a weld.

The brass body is what lets you put this much thread into thin-wall tube safely: it expands against the inside diameter and grips without splitting the 16ga section, where a hammered-in steel insert can start a crack that runs down the leg. The coarse 5/8-11 thread then holds a heavier leveling setting than a fine thread would on a frame that takes some load. Brass in the closed leg pocket also stays free of the rust that seizes a steel insert over time.

Ideal applications

• Round-tube frame that carries real load on a light leg
• Tubular cart base needing a coarse thread without welding
• 16ga leg where a steel insert would risk cracking the wall

Skip the TE1-1C if the leg is 2-inch schedule 10 pipe; the TE1-10C fits that pipe with the same 5/8-11 thread.
