Choose this 3-inch Shepherd Institutional stem swivel for furniture or food-service equipment that threads into a socket and steers on an economical wheel.
The Institutional line is the flexible 1-1/4-inch-wide range for furniture, electronics, food-service carts, and store fixtures. This is the threaded-stem version, dropping into a 1/2-inch-13 socket rather than bolting to a plate, with a hard polypropylene wheel that resists chemicals and moisture and wipes clean across a wide -20 to 230°F range. The swivel head steers with a 2.875-inch radius on a plain bearing that keeps it simple for light loads. Being hard the wheel can mark a soft floor. It serves from -20°F to 230°F.
