Choose this 5-inch Shepherd Institutional top-plate swivel with a total lock brake for fixtures or food-service carts that steer on an economical wheel, clear the widest thresholds, and park dead still.
The total lock brake stops the wheel and locks the swivel with one pedal, so a parked cart holds its spot and will not creep or pivot. Until then the hard polypropylene wheel resists chemicals and moisture and wipes clean across a wide -20 to 230°F range that suits warm food-service and wash areas, and the tall 5-inch diameter clears the widest thresholds of the institutional sizes. The Institutional line keeps it flexible at 1-1/4 inches wide, on a 2-5/8-inch by 3-3/4-inch plate with a plain bearing and a 4.375-inch radius. Being hard the wheel can mark a soft floor. It serves from -20°F to 230°F.
